Taizhou Cigarette Distribution Center is a pioneer in pursuing innovative automation and sustainable logistics. In its latest upgrade, the center partnered with XYZ Robotics to automate one of the most labor-intensive tasks—truck unloading. RockyOne, our high-capacity Mobile Manipulation Robot (MMR), is now in full operation. It enhances the inbound process with great efficiency and flexibility.
Brownfield Deployment
RockyOne requires no dock modifications and adapts to various trucks. It integrates smoothly into current operations and connects with downstream conveyors, enabling a fully automated inbound flow—from unloading loose cartons to palletizing for storage.
Strong Adaptability
RockyOne keeps up with diverse unloading scenarios. Carrying a 3D vision module, RockyOne accurately identifies cartons of varying sizes and orientations, ensuring precise and reliable gripping. In a high-mix environment, the robot manages over 150 different SKUs.
Efficient Operation
RockyOne can handle multiple cartons in a single pick, including cartons weighing up to 17 kg. The system achieves an unloading rate of 550 to 650 cases per hour. By freeing employees from physically demanding tasks, RockyOne helps create a safer and more ergonomic warehouse environment.
With RockyOne in place, the tobacco company takes a significant step forward in its automation journey. The robotic unloading solution helps optimize warehouse operations and delivers long-term value for the business.
